Tenant’s Guide
From first enquiry to picking up the keys — here’s exactly what to expect when you rent through The Lavery Group.
Found a property you like — or want us to find one? Make a rental enquiry and we’ll confirm availability and arrange a viewing at a time that works for you.
When you’re ready to proceed, you make an offer. If the landlord accepts, you pay a holding deposit (capped at one week’s rent) to reserve the property while checks are completed.
We verify your identity, Right to Rent status, income and rental history. We’ll tell you exactly what documents are needed and guide you through each step.
You review and sign the tenancy agreement. Your security deposit is registered with a government-approved protection scheme and you receive the prescribed information.
Keys are handed over, the inventory and check-in are completed, and we help with utility and council tax changeover guidance so nothing gets missed.
For properties we manage, you get a clear route to report maintenance, published response standards, and one direct contact who actually knows your tenancy.
Browse what’s available now, or register your requirements and we’ll contact you when something suitable comes up.
